Looper (2012)
Film 64/50

joseph gordon-levitt does his best impersonation of bruce willis being held hostage by bruce willis. mind blown? consider yourself looped.

In case you were worried how humanity would survive once Bruce Willis was too old to star in Die Hard films anymore, have no fear. Just a few prosthetics and a dialect coach to get his "Yippie-kai-yay" just right is all that stands between Joseph Gordon-Levitt and instant action hero status.

But Looper. Let's talk about Looper.

Once you get past the standard plot holes common with any time-travel film, it's not a horrible little action flick. I would have enjoyed seeing more interaction between Gordon-Levitt and Willis, as well as some more screen time for Jeff Daniels (who I cannot express how much I love as Will McAvoy on Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom), but beggars can't be choosers. And Emily Blunt is always outstanding.

But Twelve Monkeys will forever be my favorite Bruce Willis time-travelling story. Enough said.
